Diamond And Pearl And Pokemon, Oh My!
Submitted by Troll on July 7, 2008 - 21:18.In nothing less than a shocker to me, one of my customers – older customers mind you – recently came to me and asked whether I would be interested in running the venerable franchise Pokemon again. I chuckled, then chortled, guffawed and giggled, and then saw – he was serious. “Pokemon was never a bad game”, I proclaimed, “just due to some mismanagement by WotC it certainly lost its luster.” But I couldn’t poo-poo the idea away. I told the customer that if he could round up a few likely candidates and we could come up with an idea, I would seriously consider it. It is with no amount of trepidation that I have to announce the return of the Pokemon TCG to Diversions – the Nintendo version. But this ain’t going to be the League of your childhood. We have rules about these things in these parts – and if you hit the “Read More” you’ll see how the Diversions Pokemon League has…(Oh great dragons, I can’t believe I’m going to sink this low…)…evolved.
The Astonishing Z-Men! - Gaming Reviews Unite!
Submitted by Troll on July 7, 2008 - 21:15.Holy mutations, Troll! It's this week's gaming reviews. This time around we have dredged the depths of the gaming closets and found a two pack of games from Z-Man Games. (Don't worry, Dracula is still going to get his day..er..night.) First, no golden rabbits and puzzle picture books here - it's time for a card game named Masquerade. Grab your costume and see if this is the Cinderella sleeper of the ball or just an ugly stepsister of gaming. Then we head to the Orient as Mr. Bruno Faidutti (Will you stop following us? This is our third review of one of your games in two weeks.) books us an itinerary across a famous Asian trade route. But is this game worth trading money and time for? Coming up: the aforementioned vampire and a new treat called Wizard's Gambit from new comer Gryphon Forge. Biff, Bam, and Pow your way to these reviews...
The Weekly Round-Up Goes (Twenty)Fourth!
Submitted by Troll on July 4, 2008 - 11:39.For those of us in the Northern America, it is a time of picnics, partying, and extra long weekends. (Well those of us not stuck doing stock work at the demo closet...sigh.)For the rest of the world, it's....July, I guess. But no matter where you are, we rolled out this list of early July news: Chaotic Finds Another Shill, Days Of Wonder Goes Exclusive, Paizo Finds 3.5 Writer, A Few Of Our Favorite Origins Winners, Another Star Wars Card Game (Kinda Sorta), FUNimation Takes To The Tube, and our Link Madness and Capsule Review. Have a great holiday - no matter where you are!
Bruno And His Boys Have A Few Reviews He Wants You To Look At
Submitted by Troll on June 30, 2008 - 22:10.Yes, we are still here. Between Pokemon research (you'll hear more on that shortly) and boxes lost in the California triangle, articles and recieving were not all the prime last week. But we have a two pack of real estate deals for you this week! First, Bruno Faidutti and friends invite you into his Castle (along with a whole lot of fantasy folk). See if this Blue Games mansion is one sweet crib. Then Bruno Faidutti is back on a larger scale as he brings the intrigue of Fantasy Flight's Citadels to your table. Is this strategic job grabbing game fit for a king or just royally bad. And if you missed it last week, we put up a (P)review of Decipher's Fight Klub. (Yes, we are talking about it!) We had a reader send us the goods, and we run it down. But should IT be run down as well? (Beep Beep!)Go ahead and check out this week's goods. Bruno would be upset if you didn't and you don't want to upset Bruno, do you?

The cocktail shaker contains: Wizards And WizKids Agree Over Plastic, Warlord Goes Fourth As Well, Monsterpocalyspe Ravages GenCon Early, Fantasy Flight Sees The Light On Blind Box Minis, we also send you to a famous site for a big announcement and put our Capsule Review in a museum. Don't drink and Weekly Round-Up! - Find a designated gamer.
